Beer & Plunder is a co-op management game with fighting mechanics where you and your friends get to take on the roles of viking bartenders and run your own viking pub. As pub-owners, you must work together in a hectic mix of serving and fighting in order to fulfill both the reasonable, and unreasonable requests of your hot-headed customers.

About the Game

Beer & Plunder is about running a viking bar - and everything that this entails. Running a pub is difficult alone, luckily you can invite up to three friends to play along with you.

Your goal is to serve your guests in various ways to keep them happy, for example by serving beer, playing music, or cooking food. While your pleased guests will pay you for your service and leave the pub without a fuss, the unhappy guests will start to fight you, other guests, and even the pub itself!

Features

- A unique combination of serving and fighting customers

- Challenging rounds full of hectic cooperation, laughter and mixed up orders

- Several varying tasks to keep you busy and on your feet

- A fun party game to play with your friends

- Charming characters and a cosy environment full of life

- A management game that brings the players out from behind the counter and instead puts the focus on handling rowdy and impatient customers.

Local and Remote Play

Beer & Plunder is a local co-op game, but it can also be played remotely using Parsec.

Download Parsec here: https://parsec.app/

The game can be played with up to 4 players, and can be played with both keyboard and controller. Note, the game only supports one player using keyboard.

I played the itch.io demo with my friend and we really enjoyed it! So when we heard about the steam demo we were really excited to try it out. But for some reason no matter how I try I cannot get anyone to connect on steam remote play or parsec. Please fix it. T.T

Sorry to hear that. I want to help you but need more information on what's happening when you try to connect with Steam remote play.

Loved the game, It was chaotic, to say the least, just wondering, once the full steam release is out, will the game have Remote play without Parsec?

Happy you are enjoying playing our game. We have made a lot of changes to the demo and more plans for the full release. The free demo will be released on Steam during "Steam - Remote Play Together" next month, for the demo we will be using the remote function built into Steam so you won't need any third-party program. Until then you can wishlist us on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2433560/Beer_and_Plunder/

That's great to hear!

Funny game, but experience with controllers was bad. firstly i thought that was issue with my gamepad, but my friend who i played with said he had it too. Idk how to describe it, but movement was very weird, it was very hard to rotate your character while moving. Sometimes the only option was to fully stop and then start moving in direction that you need, otherwise character would continue to move in old direction to the wall. In fast paced game that was pretty annoying to have that issue. Also my suggestion is to add some progression, as Chopov1 said, feels like a punishment to have 0 coins at the start of every new day.

Thanks a ton for playing our game and sharing your thoughts! Good news – we've switched things up in the new version we're working on. Can't wait for you to see it! We're aiming to drop a demo on Steam at the beginning of next year.

Its a very addictive game, could play for hours. I would just like for there to be a use for excess coins as it feels like a waste and punishment to have everything reduced to zero. Also character customization or unlocks would be amazing.

Thank you for your feedback, and thank you for playing our game! We are stoked to hear that you had a great experience. There will definitely be a way for you to use those coins in the future. :)

perfect

Any single player option? Would really love to play this. TIA.

You can play by yourself but it's hard and therefore not recommended. We are planning to add it in the future so sadly not for this prototype.

Super cute and lots of fun. So glad you shared this here. 😊 Makes me want more controllers. 😂 Agreed about being able to carry over money / or upgrade ... like something to keep that money stealing gremlin away! 😜 Maybe just a screen cap-based tutorial on this page for controls and maybe a few hints, like you can pre-fill some beers and put them on the counter for others to snag to deliver.

It definitely encourages more players, but it would be cool if it scaled a little for if you only have two players versus four players.

Glad you enjoyed the game and thank you so much for the feedback, we all really appreciate it!

it is a very fun, balanced and easy to understand game. one thing missing is a reward at the end of the level, you could add bonuses or power-ups that players can buy with the extra money they collect or just things to beautify the pub. Last thing maybe add some settings for less powerful computer graphics.

That is some really good feedback, I will bring this up with the team. Thanks for the kind words. Cheers!
